Learn to inspect and service electric vehicles

Sustainable driving solutions are on the rise, with Australia's drivers buying more electric cars than ever before. Victoria's Zero Emissions Vehicle Roadmap establishes a target of 50 per cent of light vehicle sales to be Zero Emission Vehicles by 2030. With the push for approximately 2.5 million electric vehicles to be in use by 2030, an industry demand has been set for automotive EV specialists. By specialising in EVs, you can contribute to an exciting, developing area in the automotive industry and impact the environment for the better.

Upon successful completion of the Battery Electric Vehicle Inspection and Servicing Skill Set, you'll be able to depower, inspect and reinitialise electric vehicle batteries. You'll also know how to diagnose and repair electric vehicle systems.

This skill set is for you if you're already working in the mechanical or electrical automotive industry. The skills you'll gain will allow you to formalise your skills and knowledge to progress your career.

In this course, you'll learn through face-to-face, practical classes held in our brand-new state-of-the-art electric vehicle training facility. You'll gain the knowledge to work safely with high-voltage batteries, as well as the practical skills to isolate power, conduct safety inspections, and follow reinitialised procedures in alignment with industry safety standards.

In your classes, you'll get to practice on a variety of real-life vehicles in the workshop, including trucks and cars from a range of manufacturers.
